Thanks for the video. I don’t have kids yet and have a 2017 Tacoma on order but was worried since me and my gf want to have a kid or 2 in the next few years if the Tacoma would be decent for child seats. Since we are both under 5’10 it looks solid enough. I would go for the Tundra instead but really don’t need the power and there’s a big wast in fuel efficiency on those big trucks. Cheers.

Aaron Fodor says:

Looks like it can barely fit a rear facing seat in it compared to front facing seat? Guess this wont be an option if anyone wants kids.

alex,
did you try a carseat in the access cab? i test drove one and brought my diono radian along and the back seat being at 90 degrees made it not fit too well because it doesn’t line up on the back. also, you mentioned 3 seats across in the access cab. aren’t there only 2 seats back there? thanks! love your videos.

the average male height I America is 6 ft or more. I’m 6’1 and I really like the Tacoma but space ducks and now I have 2 year kid and planning on a second one next year this truck is off my list. I don’t know why people buy them so much. it seems only good for couples with two kids between the ages of 7 and 12. if your are single person, the access cab will defenetly attract more women.

Does the driver seat move in height

Can you start reviewing the vetches before the child seat review?

Tän Tän says:

Thanks for doing the car seat series! We’re interested in the new Tacoma and have 2 kids. Your video is a great help and please continue this series with other cars.

ReerBaadia says:

You take your time 2 review a child. you’re integrity is the size of youtube. thx

Bryce says:

As a former owner of the Tacoma I never got used how low the seats were very uncomfortable on long trips

I’m sorry but this review is woefully incomplete. The Tacoma has LATCH anchors all the way across the bottom of the 60/40 bench seats, so a rear-facing LATCH seat can be connected in any position extremely easy, just like any car. Tethers are an afterthought with LATCH connections!

chride2 says:

thanks for reviewing this topic! this is almost a make or break problem for me – I’m 6’5″, so this truck wouldn’t work for me, despite my desire for it. guess I’ll look into the tundra! do you have a child seat review for that? 🙂

Delmer Lara says:

I’m getting this truck
