2015 Ford Fiesta Child Seat Review

Can you fit three child seats in the back? Can an adult sit in the front seat with a rearward facing convertible seat behind them?

Thanks so much for this!

i appreciate you doing these car seat videos—–BUT it’s easier to buy a more compact SEAT than to buy a different car that can fit a relatively cheap car seat. There are plenty of rear facing car seats that are MORE compact and fit nicely into smaller cars. I personally use a Diono R100 with a diono angle adjuster and our Diono fits great in the tiny backseats of my BMW 1M Coupe. I think you should encourage people to find the most compact and safe car seat rather and remind them that the fitment differs greatly between different car seats.

I have a 2014 Ford Fiesta and at the time we only had one child. Now we have a 16 month old and another on the way. oops. haha Our little is still rear facing and I’m 5’1″ and my knees almost touch the dash. It’s very uncomfortable but doable for now. We used a Keyfit 30 without the base, and now use a Safety 1st Guide 65 Sport Convertible car seat. (still rear) My oldest uses a an Evenflo high back 5 point harness booster and there is only 7 inches between the two seats. We’re either going to need all new seat or a new car! lol

I’m a tall guy. I’m 6’5″. Would I be able to drive this car with a rear facing car seat and a front facing car seat in the back? I’m looking for something large enough for the family but I want a manual transmission. That knocks out a LOT of cars for me.

Rebecca Mitra says:

The fiesta is a one child car in my experience. I have fiesta and have one rear facing diono radian in the middle, we’re expecting our second child and there is no seat that I have found that will fit beside the radian and still have a useable passanger seat and the radian is the slimmest seat on the market. Maybe if I was willing to turn my oldest forward facing it could work but I am not willing to do that. It’s to bad because overall the fiesta is a great car in so many other ways.

What convertible car seats will fit in the Ford Fiesta hatchback (I have a 2011SE)?

Derick Davis says:

Thanks for this, I’m a big fan of your videos Alex. Also I have a 2011 Fiesta and expect my first child in April. While my other car is a Volvo V60, I’m thinking about upgrading the Fiesta so I can accommodate the child seat and a passenger. I’m thinking Mazda 3. Thoughts?

Hey Alex! Thanks for all the videos!

What would be really helpful is if you could add putting a stroller in the trunk to your child seat videos.
