In today’s video, I’m checking out the mifold travel car seat and the Bubble Bum travel car seat! These seats can be used when traveling on an airplane and you need a car seat on the destination end, but you don’t want to bring a big, bulky seat. They are also great in a taxi cab situation or for carpooling!
These car seats are intended for us by children that are big enough for a booster car seat. Children should be between 40 to 100 pounds and 40 inches to 57 inches tall. Isabella fits these parameters. Natalie is not yet big enough. We tested both of these seats out with Isabella!

I have heard no so great reviews about the midfold from CPSTs. The bubble bum, they recommend for smaller bolstered kiddos, but for bigger kiddos they recommend this one: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00FLXBHIU/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o05_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1. We purchased it for traveling with our ten year old who is still boostered. Love it! The seat is bigger then the Bubble Bum so more comfortable. It is super light weight and was easy to bring on a plane.
Great and smart Mommy! The girls are blessed!
Good review, thank you. We ourselves are in the midst of car seat changes
Do you have to blow up the bubble bum yourself?
Perfect timing. I was thinking of getting the bubble bum for our visit to hawaii next year
Will the MiFold fit into a glove box? I’m looking for one my 18 year old can keep in his car for when he drives our 7 year old around.
How is the safety on these seats ?
