IMMI Go Hybrid Booster Seat vs. Britax Frontier Clicktight Booster Seat | Best Most Popular

Is your child getting too big for a convertible car seat, but not quite ready for a belt-positioning booster? The IMMI GO Hybrid Car Seat Booster and the Britax Frontier 90 Clicktight Booster Seat both provide superb protection for kids on the go, and they’re both very easy to install, but as you’ll see in this review video, these two car seats will fit differently in your traveling lifestyle.

The IMMI GO Hybrid Car Seat Booster is lightweight (only 10 pounds) and designed to easily transfer from one car to another: you can install it with LATCH in under two minutes. The unique soft back lets you fold it up into the attached travel bag, so it stores easily in your car trunk, and it can easily come along on vacation for use in rental cars and taxis. It’s also great for grandparents, sitters, and other caregivers who don’t necessarily want a huge car seat in their back seat at all times! It can be used with younger children as a forward-facing harnessed car seat, and with older children as a backless belt-positioning booster, up to 100 pounds.

The Britax Clicktight Frontier 90 Booster Seat is much bulkier, but that’s because it’s loaded with premium safety features and comfort features! It installs in three quick steps using the Britax Clicktight system, but because of its size, this is a seat you’ll want to install and leave in its place – best for everyday use in the family car. Kids will love the plush foam padding, the cup holders, and the recline, and you’ll love the high weight limit – it can be used as a forward-facing car seat with a harness up to 90 pounds, and as a belt-positioning booster up to 120 pounds!

Find out how to determine when your child is ready for a booster seat:

The IMMI GO has been tested and approved for forward-facing use for ages 1 and up. However, the AAP recommends keeping your child rear-facing at all times in vehicles up to age 2, and we recommend rear-facing for as long as you can manage – it’s just so much more effective at keeping kids safe! Plus, some states legally require rear-facing up to age 2. So please: keep an eye on your local laws, consult your pediatrician, and use your best judgment.
